Flea, Tick and demodectic mange control

Proban (Cythioate) is in tablet form and is for the control of fleas and ticks. Give 1 tablet per 22lbs every second day.

Cythioate is absorbed from the gut and finds its way into the bloodstream, to be taken in by ticks as they suck blood. The chemical is toxic to the tick which will die and drop off.

Cythioate given at the tick control dose rate and frequency will also control fleas. If control is aimed at fleas alone (not ticks) the frequency of medication can be reduced to every three days or twice weekly.

Cats: For flea control give a quarter of a tablet by mouth for every 111lbs of bodyweight twice a week.

For fleas on dogs and cats, demodectic mange and ticks on dogs. Easy to use, give tablet directly in mouth or mixed in feed. Do not use in sick, pregnant and lactating animals or those recovering from surgery. Do not use with any other oganophosphate based flea control products. Use with caution.
